PASTEL STORYBOARD
THE NEW SPIRIT
First World War Two cartoon
(1942)
An original storyboard drawing in pastel on black paper.
Made for the Treasury Department and starring Donald Duck, the
storyboards were done in full detailed color pastels so that
government officials could understand them and get a better idea of
how the final film would look. In this storyboard a huge metal press
pumps out a shell as sparks fly. On black paper, it is punched at
the bottom and measures 8 ¼ x 8 ¾”. Numbered 7.
