ROOSTER AND HEN
COCK O’ THE WALK
Silly Symphony cartoon
(1935)
Publicity character study—this was the first version of
what was to become the most famous and most-seen of the film’s line
drawings and photo stills—showing full figure rooster and hen
dancing before a very sketchy background outline. On full unpunched
sheet of animation paper, unpunched, measuring 10 x 12”, not
numbered. Was once folded in half.
