THE PRACTICAL PIG
(1939)
Gorgeous rough animation drawing of the two first pigs sometimes
known as Fifer Pig and Fiddler Pig in their last regular cartoon
short. Full figure pigs walking in black and red pencil. It was
signed by the animator Ollie Johnston in front of us. It has a light
red very rough third little pig, known as Practical Pig, to their
left, admonishing them with a pointed finger. It is very light so
doesn’t show up in the scans, but it is there, as a dynamic addition
to the piece. On a full sheet of animation paper, 10 x 12”,
five-hole punched. Numbered 269. |
