Mark is an animator and illustrator who has been using his talents in his role as Vice-President/Creative Director of Disada Productions Ltd since 1999.

He is a graduate from the University of Western Ontario’s Fine Art department (1995) and from the Algonquin College Animation Program (1999), with honours.  He has also studied in the Illustration program at Sheridan College (1990-91).

Teaching allows you to see new talent developing, and one of the benefits of Peter’s teaching in Ottawa in recent years was to employ some of his students on productions and projects. He selected Mark for employ at the highest levels of the company.

Mark has not only skills in animation, he is a born director and producer, and has earned his wings on all company projects. He has directed the Disada demo tapes, telling the Disada story after watching hundreds of hours of past productions. He has been instrumental in getting Disada’s website designed and running. He has managed our staff in the current theatrical animation production and has been involved in every company project from script to screen, a good way to learn. The best in our business are born and not made that way, and just need the learning and experience. Mark has been given extraordinary responsibilities and has succeeded every time.

Mark is also sharing his gathered knowledge and experience with students at the Ottawa School of Art and as a faculty member of the Visual Arts program at Heritage College in Hull, Quebec. Mark’s passion for animation and comic books has help him to develop the Comic Book Illustration and Design course at the School, as well as, helped him to share that passion with the students in the Animation diploma program.
