Disada Wins
Silver and Bronze Awards
at Animation Film Festival
Disada won both the Silver and the
Bronze awards at the Animation Festival International in Michigan, USA.
The Silver was won by MAX THE WALL SOCKET, animated by Mark Renaud,
and the Bronze was won by THE CANDLE, animated by Tavis Silbernagel.
Each production was a 30 second Public Service Television Commercial for
Fire Prevention Canada,
produced and directed by Peter Adamakos with character designs by Mark
Renaud.
These characters (plus two others) are seen in Canada on both network
channels (CBC, Global etc.) and on specialty channels (CNN, Discovery etc.)
for a one-year period ending in November 2002. Given their success and
positive reception, they may be renewed for another year at that time.
